Join us for our 40th Annual Show, August 2026 〰️

THE 40th ANNUAL Farm show weekend and tractor pull has been postponed until August 2026.

Dear Friends , Supporters and Tractor Pullers,

On behalf of the Directors of the Grand River Antique Society, we would like to share an important update regarding our upcoming event schedule.

After thoughtful consideration, we regret to inform you that the Tractor Pull event scheduled for August 2025 will be cancelled. This decision comes as ongoing health challenges affecting several of our executive members persist. As well as being recently informed of updated health unit requirements. While the health unit did their best to accommodate us, we still faced a time crunch.

While we are disappointed to make this announcement, we remain committed to the future of our organization and are already looking ahead to a spectacular return in 2026 for the 40th Annual Antique Farm Show Weekend.

Throughout 2025 and 2026 we will be focusing our efforts and preparations to ensure that the 2026 show is one to remember. During this time, smaller club activities that will benefit from volunteer participation will be available to those interested. We will be reaching out soon with opportunities to get involved.

We truly appreciate your understanding and ongoing commitment to the Grand River Antique Society. Your support means the world to us, and we’re excited to work together toward a successful and memorable 2026 event.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about upcoming volunteer opportunities, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

Sincerely,

The Directors of the Grand River Antique Society

PS Please Don’t forget that this Saturday August 2 , W.A.F.M.A. will be hosting their annual show and tractor pull in Jarvis all weekend long. A fun time with many interesting things to see. You’re bound to see GRAS members there too.

  • The highlight of the year for the Grand River Antique Society is the Annual Antique Show, held each August.

    • This multi-day event showcases a wide variety of antique tractors, vintage farm equipment, and historical displays.

    • The show features tractor pulls, lawn and garden tractor pulls, live demonstrations, and exhibits that celebrate agricultural history.

    • Tractor pulls give participants the chance to display the power and craftsmanship of their antique machines in friendly competition.

    • Lawn and garden tractor pulls invite smaller equipment owners to participate and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

    • The event provides opportunities for members and visitors to engage with the community, share knowledge, and promote agricultural heritage.

The Annual Antique Show is a family-friendly celebration that brings people together to honour the legacy of farming and mechanical innovation.

  • Members are invited to participate in local parades throughout the surrounding towns.

    • Assist with decorating the club float, often a hay wagon or other creative display.

    • Members and their children are welcome to ride on the float or drive their own tractors in the parade.

    • Parades are an excellent way to increase the club’s visibility and presence in the community.

    • It’s a wonderful opportunity for families to get involved, and children especially enjoy the experience.

Parades are a fun and meaningful way to connect with the community and promote the club.

  • Each year, the club organizes a special field trip to a destination of historical significance.

    • Members meet at the chosen location for a guided tour or educational experience.

    • The trip offers a chance to learn, explore, and appreciate local or regional history.

    • After the tour, members enjoy dinner together, making it a memorable and social event.

The annual field trip is a great way to connect with fellow members, discover new places, and share in a unique learning experience.

  • Club members often attend various shows and tractor pulls in the region.

    • Members frequently arrange to meet at these events or travel together.

    • Attending other shows is a great way to enjoy the hobby, support fellow enthusiasts, and connect with the broader community.

    • These outings also serve as an opportunity to promote our own club show by distributing flyers and making new contacts.

Participating in other events helps strengthen relationships, grow our club’s presence, and share our passion for tractors and heritage with others

  • We are planning to offer workshops in the future for members who are interested in learning more about antique equipment.

    • Topics will include maintenance, repairs, restoration techniques, and general care.

    • Workshops will provide an opportunity to share knowledge, learn from experienced members, and exchange ideas.

    • These sessions will help preserve the skills and craftsmanship involved in working with antique machinery.

Workshops will be a valuable resource for both new and seasoned members, fostering learning and community involvement.
