About Us
Grand River
Antique Society
Grand River Antique Society (GRAS) is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organization dedicated to preserving, sharing, and celebrating Ontario’s rich agricultural history. Through hands-on education, restoration projects, community events, and our annual Antique Farm Show and Tractor Pull, we bring people of all ages together to reconnect with our rural roots.
Our Mission
GRAS promotes agricultural awareness by showcasing and restoring antique agricultural equipment. We engage the public through live demonstrations, displays, and events that educate people on the machines, tools, and techniques that helped shape the settlement of this region.
We are committed to:
Conserving rural history
Promoting community learning
Preserving the legacy of farming life in Ontario
Our work keeps the memory of past generations alive while creating meaningful experiences for families, collectors, and communities today.
Our Values
1. Honesty and Good Faith
I will act honestly, in good faith, and uphold the trust of the membership I serve.
2. Care, Diligence and Skill
I will act with the care of a reasonably prudent person in similar circumstances. I will attend Board and Members’ meetings, uphold bylaws and ONCA compliance, and remain informed of the Association’s affairs.
3. Conflict of Interest
I will disclose any actual or potential conflicts immediately. I will not seek or accept special benefits or promote the interests of myself, family, or associates at the expense of the Association.
4. Confidentiality
I will maintain the confidentiality of Board discussions, decisions, and privileged information.
5. Good Conduct
I will act professionally, ethically, and respectfully. I will support the Executive’s majority decisions and contribute to a culture of integrity and responsible governance.
6. Defamation
I will not make unfounded or defamatory statements about GRAS or its members.
7. Minimize Conflict
I will help prevent and resolve conflict, support cooperation, and maintain the positive image of the organization.
8. Education
I commit to ongoing learning in support of good governance and informed decision-making.
Who We Are
Our members come from all walks of life—some are seasoned collectors with decades of restoration experience, others are new enthusiasts just beginning their journey.
What unites us is a shared love for:
Antique tractors and vintage farming equipment
Agricultural shows and exhibitions
Tractor pulling
Rural Ontario heritage and community involvement
We are actively seeking exhibitors, collectors, enthusiasts, restorers, and pullers to join our vibrant and growing club.
We are always looking for new members, volunteers, and partners to help GRAS grow.
What We Do
Throughout the year, GRAS organizes and participates in a wide variety of activities, including:
Our Annual Antique Farm Show and Tractor Pull
Community parade participation
Field trips to historical locations
Attendance at other local shows and pulls
Workshops (coming soon) on restoration and equipment history
Monthly club meetings and a Christmas banquet

Publishing a monthly newsletter for members
Every event we participate in is designed to foster education, family fun, and a lasting connection to the agricultural roots of our region.
Our Logos
As we’ve grown, so has our visual identity. Both our new and old logos represent our commitment to preserving history and honouring where we’ve come from. Our old Logo highlights our original clubs location at Bruce’s Landing.
